Back in the saddle again
After an extended period away from blogging, I decided to get back into the swing of things and continue my writings. However, it's a bit different now.
Disclosure:
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
Since you're reading this post, you know the site is a bit different from my last one (DCS-Media). I tried to make it a little better, smaller, and faster. DCS-Media is no more.
NOTE: (If you're wondering what happened to the content on DCS-Media, I transferred it here for "archival purposes." Hey...there's some great stuff there! So great that I made a book out of it called Legacy Code(r) for free).
DanylkoWeb was built as my personal website, but I will still talk about technology, gadgets, and programming. The primary focus will be on:
- Microsoft technologies
I've been coding for over 20 years with Microsoft web technologies. I started on Classic ASP and worked my way up from there. Now, since I'm fully-invested in ASP.NET MVC (which I fell in love with since alpha 0.1), I will be in Microsoft-land for a while. - Gadgets
Every one in my life has said at one time or another, "Where did you get that gadget from?" or "That's cool! What is that?" So every time I received or purchase a new gadget, I will be discussing the goods, the bads, and the uglies. Just to give you an idea, I have a Myo and a Coin (affiliate link) on the way. I already received my Articulate Wallet (affiliate link) More on that later. - Programming experiences/techniques
As I've said above, with over 20 years experience under my belt, I will be sharing some of my experiences and techniques with you so you don't make those same mistakes.
With these topics in mind, I want to provide my audience with a high level of quality content.
Oh, since I've touched on that, I want to share with you the two goals I have for the site:
- Provide every post with valuable content, whatever the subject.
- Have fun along the way.
Eventually, the site will expand with more features which I hope my audience can participate in the experience as well.
Welcome to DanylkoWeb and I look forward to meeting everyone.
Enjoy!
