Dell seems to be satisfying the high demand crop of users by purchasing the high-performance PC company called Alienware.

Alienware has always been known to create really powerful PCs for the gamers and hard-core business users. With this acquisition, Dell is definitely pushing more power into the consumers' hands and stepping it up a notch to give users a new upper line to satisfy the heavy duty users.

To prove it, Dell came out with a $10,000 dollar PC on the same day they announced the acquisition.

Geez, and to think that I was always happy with my 1.7ghz PC. :-)
